Young people with a visual impairment need support to help them fulfil their potential and adjust to their situation. Times of transition are especially hard, and young people can benefit from support from an impartial mentor who has been in the same position. Brightside is working with the LOOK charity to provide young visually impaired people age 11 to 24 with support from another young visually impaired mentor, old enough to have been through the same stage themselves, but young enough to still relate as a peer.
