Impact Report 2021

Impact Report 2021

We are proud to publish our latest Impact Report, which presents data and stories from across our 2020 mentoring programmes. This was an important, challenging and creative year of delivery for Brightside and we want to say a huge thank you to our partners, supporters and volunteers who helped us match 9,400 young people with a mentor during a time of great disruption and uncertainty.

In the report, you can find out about how we work, our geographical reach, and our approach to impact measurement. It presents our latest impact data, which shows improvements for mentees in human capital, social capital and confident decision-making, as well as continued correlation between Brightside mentoring and increased access to higher education for the lowest participation groups. We’ve shared some key takeaways and mentee stories from the year, and set out some of our impact plans for the year ahead.

If you’re interested in discussing any of the findings or reflections in the report, please do get in touch with Louise, our Head of Impact at louise.jones@brightside.org.uk. We would love to hear from you and are always keen to talk about the power of mentoring!
