Here at Brightside, we put young people’s voices at the forefront of our programmes, our technology and our decision making.
That’s why, earlier this year, we decided it was time to appoint a Youth Board. Our objective was to listen to them and learn from them, and in turn provide them with a meaningful development experience.
Our Youth Board will influence the decisions we make and our strategy, help us with our marketing and contribute to the design and development of programmes to make sure we put the experience of young people front and centre.
We had twenty-two applications from young people aged between sixteen and twenty and chose nine following an interview process. Read the profiles of our Youth Board here.
The board meets once every two months and the two meetings we’ve had so far have been really enlightening and productive. We’ll keep you posted on our work with them on this blog, so stay tuned for more!
