Theory of Change

Developing an evidence-based Theory of Change, which identifies the actions and outcomes that will enable us to meet our mission, was a crucial step in committing to being an impact-led organisation.  

Our Theory of Change shows us that online mentoring supports young people to build the confidence and gain the knowledge they need to make moreconfident and more informed decisions about their next steps.  


Pathways knowledge: mentees are more aware of the options available

Self-knowledge: mentees are more aware of their own interests, strengths and future goals

Confidence in career decisions: mentees have increased confidence in their ability to make significant career decisions

We turned to Brightside because they’re well known in the mentoring field for their online intervention. With their strong focus on safeguarding and their platform’s content library of study skills, they were exactly what we were looking for.
