Daniel’s story

Me and my mentor had some conversations the week before the project in my school started to get to know each other. He sent over links to university websites and helped me with my revision and my confidence. It was great to talk to someone with a different perspective on how the world works. I really felt like that external voice showed me the way.
I liked how it was all online so I could reply on the way to or from school and it didn’t take up too much of my time.
He kept reminding me to stick with it and you’ll eventually reach your goal, which I thought was good advice. He said anything is possible if you put the work in. After talking to my mentor, I felt happier with my choices and less stressed. I wouldn’t have the confidence to be on the path that I’m on if it wasn’t for the confidence mentoring gave me.
